Charles J. Allen Jr., age 88, of Foxboro, passed away April 12, 2026, with family by his side.

He was born April 15, 1937, in Superior to Alice (Berg) and Charles Joseph Allen, Sr.

Charles was a lifelong resident of the Foxboro/Superior area, a man defined by his love of hard work and the land beneath his feet. For many years he poured himself into his sand pit operation, finding his greatest satisfaction behind the controls of heavy equipment often alongside his right-hand man and longtime friend, Craig Tyson.

As much as he loved his work, Charles loved his people more. He was a devoted family man and a loyal friend, and those who knew him will remember him as someone who showed up, put in the work, and never needed much more than that.

Charles is survived by his children, David (Jo) Allen, Julie Kimmes(John McIntyre), and Broc Allen; his grandchildren, Joseph IV, Josh (Allison) Kimmes, Jeb (Madison) Kimmes, and Jessica (Kimmes) Zychowski (Brock); and his great-grandchildren, Kayson (child of Joseph), Kashton, Annistyn, Korbin, and Kenric (children of Josh and Allison Kimmes), and Penelope (child of Jeb and Madison Kimmes). He is also survived by his siblings Jim Allen and Doug Allen of Superior, and his sister Mary Lou Peterson of Minneapolis, MN.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Ronald; his infant daughter Andrea; his son-in-law, Joseph Kimmes III; and his great-granddaughter, Kinsley Kimmes (child of Joseph).

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday April 18, 2026, from 4:30 pm until 7:00 pm, with a 5:30 Time of Remembrance, in the Downs Life Celebration Center.

Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Summit Cemetery.
