Charles E. Nelson, 77, of Superior, died Saturday July 1, 2023, at Aspen Health and Rehab.

Charles was born in Superior on June 2, 1946, the son of Elroy and Mildred (Sharon) Nelson.

He had worked for many years as a CNA for Beverly Health and Golden Living nursing homes.

Charles was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and hockey. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gerald Nelson.

Charles is survived by his children, Chris Nelson and Kimberly Nelson; stepchildren, Marcus Larson and Angela (Josiah) Kroll; grandchildren, Tylor and Collin; mother of his children, Tamera Larson; siblings, Martin (Ann) Nelson and James Nelson all of Superior; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug. 11th at 1:00 p.m. with military honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Mikes Place, 1807 N 11th St., Superior.
