Obituary

Charles Calvin Southwick, 87 lifelong resident of Superior, died Monday, January 25, 2016 at Deer Haven Group Home.

Charles was born on July 14, 1928 the son of Lee and Belle Southwick.

He enjoyed listening to all music and loved to play the piano. He enjoyed crocheting and made beautiful Afghans. Charles also enjoyed going bowling. Working at the Challenge Center was very important to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clyde, Lloyd and Guy; sister, Gem Peltzer; and niece and nephew, Marlene and Ron Anderson.

Charles is survived by his nephew, Lloyd (Bob) Peltzer of Colorado; great-nieces and nephew, Carolyn (Mickey) Brand of Superior, Nancy Anderson of Buffalo, MN, and Thomas (Beth) Anderson of Superior; great-great-niece and nephews, Desirae Brand, Joshua Brand and David Brand all of Superior; and his Deer Haven family.

Visitation will begin on Sat. Jan. 30th from 11:00 a.m. until the Noon funeral service at Bethel Lutheran Church in Superior. Rev. Gary Garnatz will officiate. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in the spring.
