Charlotte Diane Berg, 56, of Foxboro, Wis., died Monday, May 24, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minn.

Charlotte was born in Ashland, Wis. on May 22, 1954, the daughter of Beverly J. (Seemuth) and Richard D. Sorenson.

She graduated from Drummond, Wis. High School in 1972 and attended Superior Technical Institute, now WITC.

Char was united in marriage to Mark Berg on May 28, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nev.

She had worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for many local companies including, Saratoga Liquor, a superior law office, Gateway and Fleming Foods and Kimmes Construction.

Charlotte loved to knit and enjoyed working in her flower garden. She was an avid reader and pool player. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Charlotte is survived by her husband of 18 years, Mark; their son, Jeff (Valerie) Berg of Cromwell, Minn.; grandchildren, Ashley, Nick, Dillian, Dustin and Mike (Courtney); a great-grandchild, Makaila; a sister, Kay (Don) Mattson of Superior; nephews and a niece, Donald, Jr., David and Krista (Eric) Mattson; a great-niece and a great-nephew; Kayla and Aiden; uncles and aunts, Bob and Dianne Sorenson of Owatonna, Minn., Pete and Carol Seemuth of Ashland, Wis. and Alice (who is also her godmother) and Don Schmidt of Phillips, Wis.; and several cousins.

Visitation will be on Wed., May 26th from 5-7 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Visitation will continue on Thurs., May 27th from 10 a.m. to the 11 a.m. funeral service at Bethel Lutheran Church. Rev. Gary Garnatz will officiate. Interment will be in Summit Cemetery.
