Obituary

Cheryl Ann Sanda, 68, of Superior, died Sunday, September 4, 2016, at her residence with hospice care.

She was born November 5, 1947 in Duluth, daughter of Stanley and Cecelia (Fitzsimmons) Rogers.

Cheryl was raised in rural Superior near Pattison Park, and graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1966. She married David A. Sanda in 1968 and they had two children who they raised not far from her childhood farm. She loved spending time on their hobby farm and with the family at their lake cabin. Cheryl worked for and retired from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Associates in Superior. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing and crafts and had several cherished horses and pets over the years. She was known for her kindness, supportive friendship and strength and will be deeply missed.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Robert Siddall, Joseph Siddall and James Rogers; and sisters, Donna Loughren, Cleo Sahlsteen, Marion Miller, and Beverly Chmieleski.

Survivors include her husband, David A. Sanda; son, David (Sue) Sanda; daughter, Ann (Mark) Pearson; grandchildren, David, Elisabeth and Matthew Sanda and Mark, Casandra and Marissa Pearson; and brothers, Terry Rogers and Dick (Bernice) Siddall.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Friday, September 9, 2016 at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, 4020 S. Darrow Road, Superior. Reverend Mark Holmes will officiate.

The family invites everyone to a luncheon at the church immediately following the service.

The committal service will take place at a later date.
