Cheryl G. (Swelbar) Whereatt, 53, died unexpectedly in her sleep on Wednesday August 12, 2020 at her residence.

Cheryl was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on April 12, 1967 the daughter of Gaylord Swelbar and Marlene Mallernee. She married William 'Bill' Whereatt on Aug. 27, 2011.

She had previously worked for Days Inn in Duluth.

Cheryl was an incredible, creative, and passionate homemaker. She loved gardening, baking, and interior design. One of her favorite times was decorating for Christmas.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Amanda (Shane) Burns of Duluth and Josh of North Carolina; step-children, Amber Whereatt and Aaron Whereatt both of Superior; father, Gaylord Swelbar; mother, Marlene Mallernee; brother, Bill; sister, Lisa (John) Finnegan; step-mother, Lynn Swelbar; and nephew, Casey Tatro.

A celebration of Cheryl's life will be held at a later date.
