Obituary

Christopher S. Bachand, 57, passed away in his home with his family by his side Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Chris was born August 3, 1968, in Superior, WI to Sharon (Maki) and Stephen Bachand.

He graduated from Damian High School in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Chris returned from Hawaii following high school and attended the University of North Dakota, in Grand Forks for one year then returned to Superior, WI.  Chris married Myrtle "Sandy" Rogers on August 24, 2013. He was employed in food services with various restaurants and landed a position as a custodian with Northwoods Children's Services.

Chris was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching many sporting events on television.  He was especially a football fan and a true Green Bay Packer fan.  Chris also enjoyed hiking in the woods with his wife of 12 years. Chris and Sandy loved shooting guns and especially target practicing together, he was an exceptional shot.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Bachand; his grandparents, Steve and Helen Bachand and Ray and Dorothy Alholm.

Chris is survived by his wife, Myrtle "Sandy" Rogers Bachand; his father, Steve (Nancy) Bachand; his brother, Eric (Jill) Bachand and his nieces Hadley and Kenzie; and numerous dear uncles, aunts and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N. 34th St., Superior, WI.  Food and refreshments will be served.

A spring burial will be at the Ever-Rest Cemetery in Waino, WI.
