Christopher J. Halverson, 52, of Superior, WI, passed away Dec. 1, 2017, in his home.

Chris was born in Superior on March 28, 1965, the son of Ray and Carol Halverson.

He graduated from SSHS in 1983 and later graduated from University Wisconsin-Superior majoring in Business Administration.

After college, Chris lived and worked in Grand Rapids MN, Portland, and Redmond, Oregon for several years and returned to Superior to be closer to family and lifelong friends.

Outside the workplace, he enjoyed all outdoor activities but he mostly enjoyed helping others. He will always be remembered for his fierce loyalty to family, and his generous giving to friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Chris is survived by his brothers, Mark (Connie) Halverson of Lake Nebagamon, WI, Erik (Robin) Halverson of West Linn, OR; sister, Sara (Walt) Haugen of Foxboro, WI; niece and nephews, Sean and Eric Halverson, Paul and Christie Halverson, and Owen Haugen.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Dec. 15 ^th at 1:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Rev. Michelle Rowell of Concordia Lutheran Church will officiate.
