Christopher L. Smith, 21, of Superior passed on peacefully January 28, 2011 after a long battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Chris was born in Sarasota, Fla. on Jan. 15, 1990 the son of Lawrence and Marie (Wagner) Smith.

He was an honorary member of the PIGS Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed trying and doing anything he could. Growing up he would tie ropes to his wheelchair and pull his friends on their skateboards. He enjoyed playing video games with his brothers, watching his nieces and nephews grow up and going fishing.

Chris lived life to the fullest and most important to him was making everyone around him happy.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Betty Smith; and maternal grandfather, Doug Drumheller.

Chris is survived by his parents, Lawrence and Marie of Superior; brothers, Richard (Angela Timo) Parsons of Superior, Hjelmere (Kristy Schleski) Smith of Superior; paternal grandfather, Arthur D. Smith of Foxboro; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Wagner of Pennsylvania; nieces and nephews, Joey, Dayton, Kingston and Izzy; aunts, Rose, Kathy, Tina, Rose Marie, Sandy and Brenda; an uncle, David; special friends, Michael Scott and Kevin Pittman; his dog, Gizmo; and all his brothers in the PIGS, "LGGD".

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tues. Feb. 1st, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave.
