Cindy Joy Mataczynski, 68, of South Range, WI, passed away at her home July 27, 2026, surrounded by family.

Cindy was born January 7, 1958, in Nuremberg, Germany to Dr. Robert and Joy (Hunt) Mataczynski.

She graduated from Superior High school with the class of 1976 and went on to earn an associate degree in accounting.

Cindy owned and operated Landmark Lanes and also Northland Campground for many years. She enjoyed sewing, making stained glass, gardening, and antiquing.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents.

Cindy is survived by her life partner, Mike Sternal; children, Carolyn (Travis) Jones, Stephanie (Jess) Belwood, Catherine (Alex) Amys, and Steven Kucharyski, Jr.; grandchildren, Madeline and Miriam Jones, Amber, Maddox, Jaxton, Hendryx, Zayda and Knox Belwood, Eiler and Hannah Amys; siblings, James Mataczynski, Toni Jo Mataczynski, Robert Mataczynski, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

Following Cindy’s wishes, no services will be held.

If desired, memorials in Cindy’s name may be made to the Salvation Army, 916 Hughitt Ave., Superior.
