Obituary

Clyde J. Fuller, 81 of Superior, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family after a brave battle with MDS.

Clyde was born in Chicago, IL on September 7, 1938, the son of Clyde and Eva (Gleason) Fuller. He moved to Webster, WI in his childhood, living with his grandparents on their farm. Clyde attended school in Webster and got his first job working on a milk truck, with his uncle, delivering milk.

He married Norma Corbin on November 3, 1956.

Clyde and Norma moved to Superior and he began working as a gas station attendant. He then became an auto mechanic for Kapus Erickson, and he retired from J.R. Jensen and Son as a heavy equipment mechanic and operator. He was proud to be a member of the Operating Engineers Local 139. Prior to that, Clyde and Norma owned and operated Fuller's Family Restaurant from 1984 to 1998.

He enjoyed his Sunday casino trips, watching the Green Bay Packers, woodworking, duck hunting, deer hunting, spending time at the cabin, and being with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Norma Jane in 2014; granddaughter, Elise in 2014; and son-in-law, Arnold.

Survivors include 6 daughters, Shelby Suominen, Superior, Lorilie (Gary) Pearson, New Richmond, WI, Linette (Eric) Rasmussen, Foxboro, Lisa (John) McGuirk, Superior, Stacy (Frank) Abbott, Superior, and Sandra (William) Sanda, Foxboro; granddaughters, Becki Dahl, Amy (Michael) Erickson, Amanda (Jimmy) Bailey, Jennifer (Michael) Rose, Breanna (Chad) Austin, Alyson McGuirk, Nicole McGuirk, and Jessica Abbott; grandsons, Bill (Carrie) Sanda, Jr., Eric Rasmussen, Jr., and Frankie Abbott; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother, John (Kim) Fuller, Rush City, MN; and special grand dog, Barney.

Active pallbearers will be Gary Pearson, Eric Rasmussen, Sr., John McGuirk, Eric Rasmussen, Jr., Bill Sanda, Jr., and Jimmy Bailey. Frankie Abbott will be an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be from 9:30 until the 10:30 funeral service, Saturday, November 30th at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior.  Pastor Tom Miller will officiate.

Following the funeral, everyone is invited to a luncheon at the Superior Town Hall, followed by the burial at River Hill Cemetery, Dairyland, WI.
