Corinne 'Corky' F. Flayton, 91, of Superior, entered into glory on Friday, December 11, 2020 as she was surrounded by the loving and compassionate staff at Villa Marina.

Corinne was born in Kewanee, IL on June 26, 1929 the daughter of Frederick W. and Anna (Parr) Homer.

Corky had a knack for crosswords, puzzles, and loved to read. After retiring as a HUC at St. Luke's, she found enjoyment working as a Grandparent helper at Great Lakes Elementary where she spread her love of reading. She was also a caregiver to many elderly in the area.

Corky was the mother of 7 sons, all single births, and all born in a time span of 5 years, 10 months, and 2 days. She enjoyed hosting family reunions and treating her grandchildren to lunch. She had an unmistakable bond with her great-grandson Joseph who she loved to share DQ chicken strips and many laughs with.

Corky's love of singing was evident as she was often singing hymns with her son and daughter-in-law. She was ready to leave this Earth and enter "Into the Garden" where she is now walking and talking with Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted; sons, Herb, Raymond, Jerry, and Kenneth; siblings, Frederick J., Ina May, Louise, Mary, William, Robert, Betty, Peggy, Dora, Linda, and Georgia.

Corinne is survived by her sons, Rudolph (Judy) Mock of Chicago, Robert (Rita Walden) Mock of Lafayette, IN, and Michael (Cathlynn) Mock of Minong, WI; grandchildren, Stacy, Amanda, Vicky, Tina, Angie, Kimberly, Michael Jr., Carrilynn, Lindsay, Amber, Tony, Trevor, Raymond Jr., and Michelle; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Joseph Homer, Mary Belle, and Sandra Reese.

A celebration of Corinne's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 26 at Hope Community Church, 1604 Banks Avenue, Superior.
