Corinne E.
Scott
November 28, 1943 – April 28, 2023
Corinne Elizabeth Scott (Doty), 79, of Duluth MN, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2023. She was blessed with lucidity and heavenly expectation without pain or angst for the last 17 months. She met her Glioblastoma Leviathan, as she called it, head on. She was surrounded by family and friends the whole time.
Corinne grew up in Spenser Nebraska, moving to Sioux Falls, SD, then to Kaukauna WI, Atlanta GA, and then Duluth, MN. As a journalist and communications expert, she initially worked for United Way in Atlanta GA. After moving to Duluth, MN she worked for the State of Wisconsin Transportation Department. After retiring, she showcased her Christian journalism expertise by spearheading the newspaper: Living Stones News for many years. She served the churches she attended well and was involved in many ministries including Twin Ports Prayer Force, Bayside Church prayer team, newsletter, Joy Club, and many others.
Corinne was a prayer warrior. She loved the Lord, her family, church, and friends, hosting them with grace and love frequently over the years. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Corinne was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Harta Doty; sister, Lois Moore and brothers, Dick, Ronnie and Frank Doty; and daughter, Kamala Scott.
She is survived by her husband, H. Kent Scott; son, Keldon (Sandra) Scott; grandchildren, Aaron (Melanie) Scott and Adam (Carrie Martin) Scott; three great grandchildren, Bennett, Walter, and Lila Scott; her sister, Anita (Jim) Nelson; and close sisters-in-law, Veronica Stoneall and Dorene (Jim) Gaard.
Corinne wanted everyone to know the peace she had through Jesus. "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). She is happy crossing the Jordan and reuniting with those who went ahead of her. Her faith was so evident in all she accomplished and experienced – death had no sting on her!
She requests your presence in a celebration and memorial of her life in Christ on Saturday, May 6 th beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. and a luncheon to follow at Bayside Baptist Church, 3915 N 16th St, Superior, WI.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Lubbers, Tylor Elm, Paul Walsh, Tom Muehlberger, Paul Frost, Randy Haworth and Brian Carlson.
