Obituary

Corrine I. Rudd, 90, of Superior, died Monday February 25, 2019 at Twin Ports Health and Rehabilitation.

Corrine was born on October 3, 1928 the daughter of Ida and Claire Lawler. She graduated from Superior Central High School.

She had worked as a bookkeeper for Stack's Department Store, Northern Electric in Duluth and Kapus Erickson.

Corrine was a very active person. She was instrumental in organizing and fundraising for the current Senior Center and enjoyed being a part of it. She was a wonderful knitter, a gardener and enjoyed going for long drives in the country.  She also enjoyed her dogs and cats.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lyle in 1992; sisters, Doris Blatt and Jeannette Swenson; nephew, Leo Blatt; and companion, Robert Dumonsau.

Corrine is survived by her nieces, Karen Morse, Linda (James) Jarzynski, and Claire (Al) Heizman; niece-in-law, Joanne Blatt; and many great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Corrine's wishes were for a graveside service. Due to weather conditions we will be having a committal service on Saturday March 2, at Noon at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 th St., Rev. Charlotte Frantz of United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Corrine's name to the Humane Society of Douglas County, 138 Moccasin Mike Road, Superior, WI 54880.
