Cory Rey Eichberg, 43, of Superior, WI died on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in his home with his family by his side.

He was born January 3, 1980, in Bemidji, MN.  Cory married Jessica Virden November 26, 2005, in Tularosa, NM.

Cory was employed as a carman his entire career with the BNSF Railroad working for 18 years there.  He was a proud member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers & Trainmen Local – 188 Blet.

Cory enjoyed fishing and hunting with his boys and numerous friends.  He was passionate about working on cars, mowing the lawn, and working in the garden.  Cory enjoyed cooking and grilling in the summer and winter months, you could find him outside grilling food at -20 below.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor, being a great dad and husband and a good friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Eichberg and grandmother, Erma Raines Eichberg.

Survivors include his wife, Jessica; his sons, Benjamin, William, and Matthew; his special aunt/mother, Bev (Ralph) Hanson; his mother in-law, Hazel Verdin; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many brothers and co-workers at BNSF Railroad.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
