Curtis John Midbon, 72, of Superior passed away June 30, 2026, at Dove Healthcare in Superior, Wisconsin. 

Curtis was born May 5, 1954, the son of Arthur and Ethel (Erickson) Midbon. 

He worked as a painter for contractors as well as private parties, and later worked as a janitor for the University of Wisconsin Superior and took great pride in keeping the Holden Fine Arts building in good shape. He loved music and enjoyed playing his vinyl records and albums. Curtis was known to be a quiet man who had a free spirit and did things his own way. 

Curtis is preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Mike Sanders. 

He is survived by his brothers, Raymond (Julie) Midbon, Arthur (Donna) Midbon, Dale Midbon; sisters, Shirley (Bob) Benson, Tammy Herubin, Wendy Sanders; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A private family burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery. 

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
