Dana B. LaGesse, 73, of Lakeside Township, died Friday, August 28, 2026, at her residence.

Dana was born in Superior on March 9, 1953, the daughter of Merrill and Hazel (Aro) Little.

She graduated from Superior Senior High School with the class of 1971 and went on to earn her LPN certificate from Superior Technical Institute. She married Robert LaGesse on March 9, 1974, and they celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Dana had started her LPN career in nursing homes and then for St. Luke’s Hospital before working for the School District of Superior as a School Nurse and retiring from Lake Superior Elementary School.

She enjoyed going camping, canoeing and fishing. She was also a fantastic cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Grant Little, and her sister, Joy Cassano.

Dana is survived her husband, Robert; children, Lucas (Nicole) LaGesse, Loren (Stephanie) LaGesse, and Jacqueline LaGesse; grandchildren, Jillian, Flynn, Jonathan, and Evan; sisters, Marilyn (Jack) Pank, Mary (Terry) Castonguay, and Jane Little.

A private family interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery at a later date.

If desired, memorials in Dana’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Scoliosis Research Society.
