Obituary

Daniel J. Rosenbaum died peacefully at his home on October 18, 2026. Dan was born

on March 10, 1956, and was the oldest of the four children of Lester and Gayle

Rosenbaum.

Dan graduated from Superior Senior High with the class of ’74. After high school, Dan

enlisted in the US Army and served three years in Germany. After his honorable

discharge, Dan served six years with the 148th Fighter Wing of the Minnesota Air

National Guard in Duluth, MN.

Dan raised two children: his daughter, Danielle, and his son, Christopher. Dan and his

family lived in Superior, WI; Apple Valley, MN; and Prior Lake, MN. Dan then returned

to the Superior area to enjoy retirement. He worked in the telecommunications industry

in both the Twin Cities and the Twin Ports.

Dan’s favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, listening to music, and watching his

favorite sports teams. He especially enjoyed deer hunting, fishing on “the big pond”,

conversing with “good people,” and listening to live music with family and friends. He

absolutely loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, Lester Rosenbaum, mother, Gayle

Rosenbaum, and sister, Heidi Pineau. He is survived by his daughter Danielle Berg

(Shawn), granddaughter Isabelle Berg, grandson Drake Berg, son Chris Rosenbaum,

granddaughter Cashlynn Rosenbaum, sister Robin Rosenbaum, brother Scott

Rosenbaum (Sue Ksicinski), aunts, uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, and

cousins.

Dan’s infectious smile and laughter, his wit and sense of humor, and his zest for life will be greatly missed.
