Daniel Alan Spencer, 70, of Superior, died Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Duluth, MN on December 15, 1954, the son of Ruth Ann (Lusche) and Thomas Edward Spencer.

Daniel graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1973 and attended the University of Wisconsin – Superior. He worked as a night manager at a Holiday Gas Station in Wayzata, MN for 25 years.

He enjoyed fishing, walking, and reading, and was a fan of Wisconsin sports, including the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers. During high school, he enjoyed curling and playing football.

Daniel volunteered for many years at the Tribute Fest in Duluth, MN. He felt that it was important to raise funds for homeless veterans, even though he was not a veteran himself.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Ben Maier; and his special cat, which he affectionately called "Cat Kitty".

Survivors include his sister, Kathleen (Richard Harbaugh) Spencer-Harbaugh; brother, David (Kathy Empie) Spencer; and nieces, Gloria (Ben) Kiffmeyer and Athena (Leoncio Bamaca) Spencer.

A graveside family service will be held at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery.
