Darren D.
Davey
July 4, 1965 – July 7, 2021
Darren Dean Davey, 56, of South Range, passed away unexpectedly due to complications with his enormous heart on Wednesday July 7, 2021, at his residence.
Darren was born in Duluth on July 4, 1965, the son of a biker and a hippie, Dennis Davey and Lynn "Nana" Bondeson.
Darren was preceded in death by his parents and son, Dustten.
Darren is survived by his children who made him so incredibly proud, Mistyann (Ken) Falk, Krissa (Art) Morgan, Coltten Davey, his favorite child Nicholas Davey, Camden Moore, and bonus children Hope and Dustin Mishler; longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Ezell; his grandchildren he so lovingly called his sweetiekins, Tyler, Isabella, Olivia, Lillianna, Brayden, Serenity, and Harper; great grandson, Huxley; brothers, Darryl (Becky) Davey, Denny Davey and Patrick Davey; second dad and mentor, Ken Jenson; first wife and best friend, Anna Davey; several nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Darren had a huge heart and compassion for people. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for his family or a friend in need. He loved to laugh and was known for his quick wit and signature Davey attitude. He enjoyed being around people and recently took on bartending at The Checkerboard. He was known by many nicknames throughout his 56 years, but none fit him better than Pops, Grandpa, Son, Brother, Uncle.
Our dad was an amazing father. He was kind and gentle, yet stern when he needed to be. We knew when we were in trouble, but he cried the one time he had to spank us. He had smile and laugh lines and would laugh so hard he would weeze. He appreciated the times we would outwit or oneup him, it made him proud. He loved music and his burned cds from the early 2000s. His favorite concert was Sevendust and Drowning Pool, we had a blast! He had nicknames for us before we were born, and more stories shared about us than we could ever imagine. His only fault is that he never thought he was good enough, so we pray that he knows how truly loved and needed he was and is. Fly high Pops, enjoy that perfect recliner in the sky!
Love ya, See ya, Bye!
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29 from 11:00 a.m. until the Noon service at Central Assembly of God church. A luncheon will follow the service.
Condolences can be sent ℅ Krissa Morgan: PO BOX 431 Superior WI 54880. Monetary donations will go toward the unexpected funeral and setting Nicholas up the way Pops would have wanted us to.
