David K. Eng, 78 of Superior, died Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth after a courageous battle against liver cancer.

David was born in Canton, China on Nov. 20, 1935. He owned and operated Bob's Chop Suey House.

He was an avid bowler and loved fishing, but his favorite activity was spending time with his grandchildren. Most important to him was taking care of his wife and family.

David is survived by his wife of 49 years, Eva; two children, Jennie (Saad) Khal-Laayoun of New York City, and Wayne (Susan) Eng of Madison, Wis.; grandchildren, Yasmina, Yannick and Morgan; and a brother, Art Eng of Ashland, Wis.

At the family's request there will be no services at this time.

Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave., is assisting the family with arrangements.
