David F. Fulda, Sr., 83, lifelong resident of Superior, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Franciscan Health Center in Duluth, MN, with loving family and caregivers at his side.

He was born in Duluth on June 3, 1933, the son of Louis and Selina Fulda.  He graduated from Denfeld High School.

He proudly served his country in the Army with the 11 ^th Airborne, and loved his country.

Dave's early career was in the grocery business. He worked at National T, was produce manager at Piggly Wiggly, and owned Fulda's Grocery Variety. He also worked in security at UWS. Dave later owned Charlie Brown's Bar in Billings Park. He developed a loyal following, always willing to lend an ear, and offer advice gleaned from his considerable life experiences.

Dave enjoyed people. He loved cruising in his cars and later in life would go to Walmart just to socialize. He often had coffee with his sister Margaret and brother Al. He would often visit his sister Dorothy at Franciscan Health Center and delight the staff, bringing chocolates for their enjoyment. This continued years after her passing.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Jean and Dorothy.

David is survived by his children, David (Terry) Fulda, Jr., Hermantown, Mark A. (Sandy) Fulda, Superior, Chad W. Fulda, Superior, LeAnn M. Fulda, Duluth, Richard A. Fulda, Dickinson, ND, and Michael W. (Leticia) Fulda, Monticello, MN; grandchildren, Lindsey, Jennie, Brian, Nicholas, Whitney, Brandon, Marc, Mackenzie, Scott and Emilyn; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Louis A. Fulda; and sister, Margaret Ostrom.

His visitation will be on Monday, April 24, from 9:30 until the 10:30 a.m. Celebration of Life at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. in Superior.  Pastor Loren Salfrank of Alliance Community Church in Duluth officiating.

Burial will be in Oneota Cemetery in Duluth with military honors accorded by Duluth Combined Honor Guard.
