David W. Joiner, 73, of Superior, died Saturday April 20, 2024, at Essentia St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth after a lengthy illness.

Dave was born in Superior on June 9, 1950, the son of Joseph and Virginia (Tapp) Joiner.

He had worked many jobs over the years and most recently worked for Super One in the Bakery.

Dave enjoyed riding motorcycles, golfing, bowling, and gambling. He was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan and also enjoyed watching Laurel and Hardy. He loved watching and cheering on his grandsons playing football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and special dog, Marley.

Dave is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cathy; daughter, Melissa Olson of Superior; grandsons, Cadin and Zachary; sister, Sue Padgett of South Range; nephews, Bill Tollefson, Tom Krob, Robert Krob and their families; and several extended family and longtime friends.

A Celebration of Dave's Life will be held on Friday, April 26th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19th St., Superior.
