David Raymond Ludwig, age 67, of Superior, died Tuesday September 29, 2026, in his residence.

David was born June 28, 1959, to Charlotte E. (Swanson) and Donald E. Ludwig in Fargo, ND. He would marry Sherri Moon on August 7, 1999, in Superior. David had been a corrections officer for St. Louis County for 19 years and most recently had been the assistant flooring manager at Menards before retiring in 2023. He was proud to be a recovering alcoholic and had been sober for over 30 years. David enjoyed gardening, playing golf, fishing, and watching football, especially the Minnesota Vikings. Most of all David was devoted to his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sherry Grunau and Janie Comiskey; and his brother-in-law Jay Comiskey.

David is lovingly survived by his wife, Sherri; children, Brett (Meagan) Larsen, Heidi (George Parker) Larsen, Shaun (Allison) Moon; grandchildren, Layla, George, McKenna, Brecken, Lucy and Catalina; his brother, Donald (Tracy) Ludwig; his nieces and nephews, Leah, John, Kari, Jacob and Aaron; And by additional family and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday October 5, 2026, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Memorial Service with Pastor Darrell Kyle officiating at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th Street, Superior,
