Debra J. Dauer, 67, died Wednesday April 22, 2026, after a lengthy health battle at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

Debra was born in Onamia, MN on November 2, 1958, the daughter of Florian and Jane (Larson) Dauer.

She had worked for Feradyne for many years. Debra enjoyed arts and crafts, especially diamond paintings, beading and crocheting. She also enjoyed bird watching, taking care of her plants, and watching Vampire Diaries.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert O'Leary; and brother, Mark Dauer.

Debra is survived by her children, Matt (Amber) Dauer, Tiffany (Derek) O'Leary, Jennifer (Raymond) Schintz, James (Kadyn) Stache, and Ryan (Sabrina) Stache; significant other, Kenneth Simmons; siblings, Scott (Jenny) Dauer, Lynn Phillips, Tom (Heidi) Dauer, and John (Michelle) Dauer; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Debra's life will be held on Saturday, May 16th at 2:30 p.m. at the Pine City American Legion, 525 Main Street N, Pine City, MN 55063.
