Delia K. Weiss, 96, of Foxboro, died Saturday January 16, 2021 at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.
She was born December 24, 1924 in Pella, Iowa, daughter of Cornelius and Gertze (Kramer) Burger.
Delia was baptized and confirmed in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in 1943.
On April 27, 1946 Delia Burger and Harold Weiss were united in marriage.
She was a member of the Garden Club and Mission Club.
Delia was blessed with an excellent memory. Her ability to remember family and extended family birthdays, anniversaries and dates of death is what caused many to refer to her as the Foxboro/Patzau historian.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Harold in 1996; brothers, Cornelius, Joe and Edward Burger; and sisters, Gertie Pearson and Jenny Petzold.
Survivors include her sons, Edward (Brenda) Weiss, Ronald (Pam) Weiss, Jerald Weiss, Thomas (Kathy) Weiss, and Arnold Weiss; grandchildren, Richard, Bill, Kenny, Jordan, Mariah, Jimmy, Amanda and Justin; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Liberty and Jesse; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from noon until the 1:00 p.m. service Monday, January 25, 2021 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19 th Street, Superior. Reverend Mark Holmes, pastor of Darrow Road Wesleyan Church will officiate.
Active pallbearers will be Kenny Weiss, Bill Weiss, Jesse Weiss, Jordan Weiss, David Ward, Charlie Burger, Archie Burger and David Burger. Douglas Pearson will be an honorary pallbearer.
Burial will be in Summit Cemetery, Town of Summit, Wisconsin.
