Delores S.
Kieser
January 22, 1932 – December 20, 2018
DeLores S. Kieser, 86, of Superior, departed the same way she lived her life, not a lot of fan fair, just sweetly and peacefully and surrounded by loved ones.
She was born January 22, 1932, in Superior, daughter of Gustav and Signe Swanson.
DeLores started working at King Midas Flour Mill in 1950 and retired there as an administrative assistant. In her retirement years, she worked for Lutheran Social Services Refugee Program, President of the Duluth News Tribune Credit Union, and worked at the Superior Municipal Employees Credit Union.
She was a Sunday school teacher at Central Assembly of God. DeLores was a member and leader of the Son Seekers Senior Citizen Group. She was an avid reader, gardener, enjoyed Hallmark movies, and caring for her dogs. DeLores enjoyed cheering for the Milwaukee Brewers, especially Craig Counsell.
Preceding her in death were her parents; step-father, William Drolet; husband of 62 years, Desmond J. Kieser in 2016; daughters, Cathy Venci, and Karen VanRossem; son, Bruce Kieser; daughter-in-law, Sharon Kieser; and brother, Kenneth Swanson.
Survivors include her daughter, Desie (John) Conway, Iron River, WI; son, Thomas (Cheryl) Kieser, Melbourne, FL; 14 grandchildren, Michael and David Venci, Brianna Muller, Mark and Matt VanRossum, Desmond and Brock Kieser, Andrew and Michael Conway; Annie Schumacher, Curtis, Natasha and Lonnie Kieser, and Crissy Snyder; 15 great-grandchildren; sons-in-law, Joseph Venci and Richard VanRossem; and sister, Kathleen Lintula.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Central Assembly of God, 3000 Hammond Avenue, Superior, with Pastor Tom Miller officiating.
Pallbearers will be DeLores' grandchildren.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hawthorne, WI.
The family invites everyone to a luncheon at the church immediately following the service.
The family wishes to thank her caregivers at home, her in home hospice, and the Solvay Hospice team. A special thank you to her granddaughter Annie Schumacher, who gave so much of herself to take care of grandma these past several years; and BABY GIRL, who brought so much joy to Grandma.
