Obituary

Delores M. Kotter, 88, of Superior, died Sunday, September 24, 2017, surrounded by her family at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospice, Duluth.

She was born October 24, 1928, in Superior, daughter of Emanuel and Mathilda 'Lucille' Sedlachek.

On October 26, 1946, Stanley J. Kotter and Delores M. Sedlachek were united in marriage.

Delores was an Avon representative for 49 years.  She enjoyed collecting dolls, making ceramics, and bowling.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley J. Kotter in 1997; her parents; and brother, Kenneth Sedlachek Sr.

Survivors include her children, Betty Jo (Dennis) Edwards, Superior, Patty (Neil) Hagen, Superior, and R.J. (Wendy) Kotter, Duluth; grandchildren, Kelly Jo, Wendy, Deana, Shelly, Matthew, Travis, Max, and Nate; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Caleb, Jordan, Sydney, Ty, Ella, Treyton, and Tatum; brother, Roger Sedlachek, Plainville, OR; and sister-in-law, Barbara Sullivan, Superior.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19 th Street, Superior. Visitation will resume at 10 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, at Cathedral of Christ the King, Superior.

Reverend Father Andrew Ricci will be the celebrant.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Superior.
