Deloris M. Matheson, 88, of Superior died Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

She was born in Superior on May 4, 1929 the daughter of Nels and Mathilda Klarstrom. She married Howard 'Babe' Matheson in 1956.

Deloris was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She enjoyed going blueberry picking and rummage sales. Most important to her was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; brother, Oscar; and sisters, Lillian, Esther, Helen, Elsie, Agnes and Doris

Deloris is survived by four sons, Tad (Mary) of Superior, Christie of Superior, Steve (Lisa) of Duluth, and Brian (Melissa) of Lake Amnicon; 10 grandchildren, Jessica, Kyle, Garrett, Sarah, Ryan, Ashley, Nathan, Christopher, Megan and Heather; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernice Hanson and Florence Olson both of Superior.

Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. on Wed. May 31and resume on Thurs. June 1, from 10 a.m. until the 11a.m. funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th Street. Rev. Will Mowchan will officiate.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Middle River Health and Rehab, Essentia-St. Mary's Hospice and her previous care facilities for the wonderful care of Deloris.
