Dennis R. Johnson, 71, of Foxboro, died Monday, May 12, 2025, at Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.

Dennis was born in Superior on September 2, 1953, the son of Myron and Esther (Keup) Johnson.

He had worked as a boilermaker for 25 years before spending more than 15 years as a Field Mechanic. He was a member of Boilermakers Lodge 117 and Operating Engineers Local #49.

An avid hunter, Dennis traveled across the United States in pursuit of big game. He was also a devoted NASCAR fan and looked forward to traveling with his racing friends to different tracks each year.

He was preceded in death by his father, Myron Johnson and brother, Jerry Johnson.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Esther Johnson Krause of Superior; daughter, Amy (Mike) Erickson of New Richmond; grandsons, Nathan and Colton Erickson; great-granddaughter, Avery; siblings, Leonard (Lynn) Johnson of Superior and Karen (Mike) Meronek of Bend, OR; nephews and niece, Jason Johnson, Tamara (Scott) Carlson, and Joey Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 16th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th St. with Gary Banker as officiant. Interment will be in Summit Cemetery.
