Dennis D. Martineau, 72, of Superior, WI., passed away on May 30, 2026, at home surrounded by loved ones after courageously facing leukemia.

Dennis worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe, retiring as a Fire/Safety Warden. He was especially proud of the safety record achieved at the Allouez Taconite facility alongside the taconite crew. Dennis loved coaching little league baseball and coached 15 years for SYO. He enjoyed playing Santa Claus for people in the community, fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers, vintage cars, yardwork and walking his grand-dog Lambeau.

Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Kolek, wife, Suzie Martineau, sister, Maxine Dietel, brothers Edward and Thomas J. Martineau and nieces Thea and Rebecca Martineau.

He is survived by his son TJ (Amie) Martineau, brother Douglas (Genevieve) Martineau, fiancée Rachel Austreng and her sons Dustin Austreng and Tyler (Sarah) Austreng, grandchildren, Kaelyn, Mikhael, Mia, Maddie and Chloe, and great-grandchildren Chase, Brooklyn and Ashton along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Service in the Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th Street, Superior, with Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating.
