Obituary

Diane Marie Brennan, 77, of Superior, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Twin Ports Health, with her family by her side.

Diane was born on April 8, 1947, to Mable (Van Holbeck) and Daniel Gunski in Superior. She graduated from high school and pursued her passion for beauty, attending beauty school and eventually becoming the proud owner and operator of Silhouette Beauty Salon for several years. Diane later sold the salon and worked for Brennan's Hair Fashion until her well-earned retirement.

Diane and Tom had many adventures as a couple over the years as well as with their friends and family. Curling, snowmobiling, ATV rides, Golf on Ice, family game nights, campfires, boat rides, fishing, and many mini excursions.

Diane was known for being a wonderful cook. She loved preparing food for her family crafting each homemade meal with love. Especially when hosting Christmas Eve annually when everyone looked forward to sitting at her table to share not only her meals but love and laughter.

Diane was unlike no other who embodied a kind soul that always put everyone else before herself. To know her is to understand beauty, love, selflessness, strength, compassion, and pure happiness. Her whole life she persevered with kindness, impacting everyone she came in contact within a positive light. Knowing Diane was an honor, as she was one of a kind.

Diane was a devoted wife, having celebrated 57 years of marriage with Tom. She was a nurturing mother and grandmother, always offering support, wisdom, and unconditional love. These memories that have been created capture her essence that will never be forgotten. Her soul will be cherished and remembered forever. Despite the fact that her dementia grew stronger, she fought back and embodied the adage of a life well lived.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Gunski. She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Brennan; her daughters, Sherise (Bryan) Hudacek and Shannon (Carl) Perrin; her son, Sean (Heather) Brennan; her grandchildren, Karlee (Kaleb) Ullan, Aubree Hudacek, Tristan, Ireland, and Stella Brennan, Katherine (Levi) Alton, and Carl Eithan (fiancé Cynthia); three great-grandchildren; her twin brother, Daniel (Nora) Gunski; her sister, Joanne (Eugene) Blomfelt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th St., Superior, WI.
