Dolores D. Olson, 79, of Superior, died Monday, May 1, 2017, at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth.

She was born in Superior on June 17, 1937, the daughter Sidney and Elsie McKenzie.

On August 31, 1957, Dolores and Dale Olson were united in marriage.

Dolores was a trickster, always trying to get a good laugh.  She was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and a great cook.  Dolores enjoyed the outdoors and feeding squirrels.  Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, James McKenzie.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Dale; children, Debbie Hennessy, Milwaukee, Tim (Peggy) Olson, Superior, Tom Olson, Superior, and David Olson, Superior; grandchildren, Erin (Joe) Vella, Steve (Hailey) Hennessy, Chris (Leigh) Hennessy, Kevin (Stef) Olson, Bryan Olson, Hanna Olson, and Sara Olson; and great-grandchildren, Sofie and Gunnar.

Her visitation will be on Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until the noon memorial service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th Street.  Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci of Cathedral of Christ the King Church officiating.
