Donald R. Becker, Sr., 65, of Superior, died Thursday August 10, 2023, at his residence surrounded by family.

Donald was born on Oct. 17, 1957, the son of Daniel and Lucille (Linde) Becker.

He had most recently worked for Badger Excavating and loved going to work. He had previously worked for Superior Speedway and for the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds for over 18 years.

Don enjoyed riding his bike, mowing the lawn, playing horseshoes, and collecting coins. He also enjoyed watching racing and football, especially the MN Vikings. He and Donna raised many finches and parakeets over the years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Linda Becker and brother, Kelly Thompson.

Don is survived by his partner of 39 years, Donna Jacobson; children, Donald Becker, Jr. of Superior, Brooke Becker of Duluth, Bobbiejo Becker of Superior, and Lisa (Marcus Linky) Becker of Hoyt Lakes; grandchildren, Phillip, Grace, Connor, Ketih, Leona, Stardaya, Chase, and one on the way; niece and nephews, Amber Moen, Delaine (Nicole) Goodell, and Steve Becker.

Celebration of Donald's Life will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19th St. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery Duluth.

Pallbearers will be Brooke, Bobbiejo, Leona, and Connor Becker, George Kokolis, and Marcus Linky.
