Obituary

Donald E. "Swede" Anderson, 82, of South Range died Monday December 2, 2013 at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

Donald was born in Superior on Mar. 17, 1931 the son of George and Selma Anderson.

He served his country during the Korean Conflict enlisting in the Navy. He had worked for the Evening Telegram for many years.

Donald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Grace "Mugs"; two daughters, Lynn Danielson and Beth Anderson both of Superior; grandchildren, Alyssa, Jeremy, Kyle, Megan and Chadwick; and great-grandchildren, Katlin and Nathan

His funeral service will be held on Sat. Dec. 7, at 11:00am at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th and Ogden. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion post #435.
