Donald Elroy Erickson, 87, of Superior, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Essentia-St. Mary's Medical Hospital in Superior.

He was born in Grand Forks, ND, on December 24, 1928, the son of Victor and Inga Erickson.

Don served in the Army from 1951 to 1952.

He was a retail clothing buyer for many years having worked at Carson Pirie Scott.  His job allowed him to travel the world.

Don's hobbies included fishing and being a Boy Scout leader.

Preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Laurence and Gordon Erickson.

Survived by his brother, Vernon (Gloria Rea) Erickson of Danbury; niece, Kari (Stephen) Bullard of Minneapolis; nephews, Allan (Renee) Erickson of Poplar and Laurence 'Rusty' Erickson of Superior; and 3 great-nieces.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Greenwood Cemetery.  Pastor Will Mowchan will officiate.  Military honors accorded by the Richard I Bong American Legion Post #435.
