Donald C. Graves, 87 of Foxboro, died Friday, October 2, 2015 at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Superior surrounded by his family.
Donald was born on July 23, 1928 in Douglas, Wyoming the son of Charles and Stella Graves. He grew up in Dairyland, WI and graduated from Frederic High School.
He served his country in the Army from 1950 to 1956. He retired from Huron Cement Company after many years of service.
Donald enjoyed farming and gardening. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan since the 1960's. He loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife of 38 years, Myrtle (Behrens); his parents; a granddaughter, Angel; brother, Dale Graves; and step-son Bradley Wick.
Donald is survived by his wife of 18 ½ years Barbara (Wick); children, Charles Graves of Superior, Joseph Graves of Superior, Colleen Graves of Dubuque, IA, Janice (Roger) Love of Gordon, WI, Julie (Rick) Foerst of Superior, Jill (Ron) Graves-Smith of Shell Lake, WI, and Jay Graves of Warsaw, IN; step-son, Randal (Cindy) Wick of Foxboro; 24 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; a brother, John Graves of Superior; special friends, Rich and Sally Thompson of Foxboro; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Bethel Lutheran Church. Rev. Gary Garnatz will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.
Pallbearers will be Chris Graves, Chad Hampton, Eric Foerst, Brian Love, Michael Love, Tyler Danielson, and Kyle Graves. Honorary Pallbearer will be Rich Thompson.
