Donald Robert Johnstad, 70, a lifelong resident of South Range, WI, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family.

Don was born on September 13, 1953 and married the love of his life Sharen Rasmussen September 17, 1977.  He was employed at Georgia Pacific for 40 years and retired from J&B Trucking.

Don was a lifelong farmer. He started helping on his father's dairy farm and later started his own beef farm with the help of his children.  He continued to farm until the end.  Don was passionate about restoring old tractors, especially Farmall International tractors. Every year he looked forward to riding in The Great Douglas County Tractor Ride.  He will be remembered for his willingness to help others.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Florence Johnstad; sisters, Nancy Stokes, and Janet Johnstad;  brothers-in-law, Mickey Kinnee and Frank Stokes.

Don is survived by his loving wife; his daughter, Michelle (Mark) Thomson; his son, David (Alyssa) Johnstad; his grandchildren, Jayce, Brayden, Lydia, and Riggs; his sisters, Dianna Kinnee, Sandy (Jerry) Will and Carolyn (Randy) Levine; brothers John (Jan) Johnstad, Thomas (Darlene) Johnstad, Wayne (Sharon) Johnstad and Scott(Sharon) Johnstad and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held from 1-4:00 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Rapids Riverside Bar and Grill 4385 County Road U, South Range, WI 54874.
