Donald R. Larsen, 84, of Superior, died Wednesday June 26, 2019 at Chris Jensen Health and Rehab.

He was born in Superior on August 30, 1934, the son of Birger and Anna Larsen.

Donald served honorably with the U.S. Navy and worked at Burlington Northern Railroad for 39 years.

He married Jean M. Cannon on June 13, 1964 and they were married for 44 years until her death in 2009.

Donald enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening, and wood working.  He was a do-it yourselfer kind of guy.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and siblings, Ray Larsen and Marjorie Coyle.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Larsen of Sioux Falls, SD; sons, Michael and David Larsen, both of Superior; grandchildren, Taylor, Cale, Ava, Colin, and Annalee Larsen; sister, Evelyn Zuchowski, sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Ray Flanagan, all of Seattle, WA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Jan Cannon and Daniel and Barb Cannon, all of Superior; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th Street. Visitation one hour prior. Rev. Fr. James Tobolski as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
