Donald F Netzel

Donald F Netzel, 92, of Nokomis, FL died Monday August 31, 2020 while in hospice at his daughter Marjorie Bee's home in Superior, WI. He married Jean Rivard of Superior, WI on August 12, 1950 and they were silly in love like a couple of teenagers for 68 years before her passing on February 13, 2018.

Don was a devout follower of Christ who loved to cook and entertain.  He was a jokester and in his younger years he enjoyed golfing and bowling and he and Jean spent many nights on the town dancing and playing cards with friends.

Don will be sadly missed by his five children, JoAnn (Neal) Markus, O'Fallon, MO, Marjorie (Dennis) Bee, Superior, WI, Donald (Ana) Netzel, Nokomis, FL, John (Tina) Netzel, Chicago, IL, and Thomas (Sandy) Netzel, Nokomis, FL.  He will also be missed by his 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren who all knew him as Gramps and loved when he cooked buckaroos using his secret ingredient he called gun powder.

A service and burial will be held in October at Our Lady of Carmel Church in Nokomis, FL.
