Donald C. Simons, 85, of Superior, died Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.

He was born November 13, 1930, in Superior, son of Arthur and Lillian (Erickson)
Simons.

Don honorably served his country with U. S. Navy on the USS Piedmont during the Korean Conflict.

On May 14, 1983, in Superior, Donald Simons and Sarah Clark were united in marriage.

Don enjoyed motorcycles, cars, and racing.

His work history included the L.A. County Sheriff's Department and over 38 years with AMSOIL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of over 32 years, Sarah; son, Brian Lammi, Superior; daughter, Kristi Lammi, Monticello, MN; grandchildren, Riley, Ashlee and Carson Pfau, Monticello, MN; sister, Shirley M. Turner, Superior; several nieces and nephews; and his two canine friends, Sophie and Jerry.

Visitation will be from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. service, Monday, November 30, 2015, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Gary Banker officiating.

Private committal prayers will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, with military honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post # 435.
