Donna Mae Erickson, 92, of Superior, died Friday, April 14, 2023 at Villa Marina Health and Rehab in Superior.

Donna was born to John 'Ed' and Anna Gunderson on July 24, 1930 in her grandparents home in Chaffey, Wisconsin.

Donna went from first to fourth grade at the one room McCreary School. From fifth grade through tenth grade, she went to Patzau School. Eleventh and twelfth grades she went to Superior High School. At age 42, she went to nursing school and obtained her LPN license.

She married Gilbert Erickson on August 4, 1951, and had been married for almost 50 years.

She worked at Superior Memorial Hospital, at Middle River Health and Rehab, and at a doctor's office in Duluth, MN.

Donna enjoyed sewing, quilting, traveling, and cooking. She loved playing board games with her children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert; and siblings, Evelyn Hendrickson, Crystal Bergren, Marvin Gunderson, Eugene Gunderson, George Gunderson, and Gerald Gunderson.

She is survived by three children, Leslyn Erickson of Brunswick, Georgia, Susan (Rick) Saurber of Sun City West, Arizona, and Daniel Erickson of Poplar, Wisconsin; siblings, Vernon (Anna) Gunderson, Jeannette (Fred) Atkinson, and Arlene Ely; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Donna received Christ as her Savior at a young age, around 6 or 7 years old. She loved Sunday School and church. At age 28, she started reading the entire Bible through from Genesis to Revelation and continued to do so the rest of her life. To God be glory, honor and praise, Amen.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 18 ^th from Noon until the 1:00 funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
