Donna Rae Olson, 74, of Superior, died peacefully Thursday, April 9, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Donna was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on March 31, 1946. She worked in the Education system of Superior, at Blaine Elementary, until she became a CNA and retired from St. Francis Nursing home, now Superior Rehab Center, after more than 30 years.

She enjoyed coloring, reading, and watching Westerns. Most important to her was her family especially talking to her grandbabies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, great-grandson Koldynn Kraetsch, and nephew Kip DeSmedt.

She is survived by her children, Herbert Olson of Superior, Deann (Dana) Stowers of Racine, MN, and Laura Olson of Duluth;  seven grandchildren, Joshua (Ashley) Hammill of Owatonna, MN, Kayla (Jared) Kraetsch of Spring Valley, MN, Kristy (Adam) Fretty of Grand Meadow, MN, Taylor (Trevor) Lange of Chatfield, MN and Sarah, Adam and Stacey Olson, all of Duluth; nine great-grandchildren, Kiersten, Hailey, Kameran, Madalynn, Carter, Tayte, Kaelynn, Aubrey and Hadley; sister, Diane Cossette of Arkansas; brothers, David (Emily) Streed of California, Maurice (Renia) DeSmedt of Arkansas and Kim (Kari) Ruidl of Minnesota.

Special thank you to friends of the family, Jamie and Ryan, Sally Paine, John Kimmes and Jim Dalton.

Finally, we would like to say to the Doctors, Nurses, and CNA's at Duluth Essentia Hospital and Hospice and Superior Rehab Center staff for the wonderful care and support given to our mother during her final days on Earth, Thank you and God Bless- Children of Donna
