Dorothy Mae Lee, 85, of Superior, Wis., a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away to a better place on Wed., Dec. 2, 2009 while residing at the Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Superior on July 25, 1924 to Rudy and Gladys Johnson. She married her husband, Herbert W. Lee on June 4, 1942 and they spent 62 years together until his death on April 25, 2004.

Dorothy was an avid bowler and Green Bay Packer fan. She enjoyed spending time at their trailer at Charlie Brown's Campground in Gordon, Wis. She was a member of the Moose Lodge Aux.., the Aux. to Eagles Aerie No. 80 and the Ladies of the B. P. O. E. Lodge No. 403.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Chester Lee; her husband, Herbert; a brother Glen R. Johnson; and a sister, Kay A. Severin.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Sandra Gates of Duluth, Minn., Dennis Lee of Superior, Linda (Billy Johnsen) Noble of Superior and Colleen Becker of Barnes, Wis.; a sister Delores Isberg of Grand Rapids, Minn.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Following Dorothy's wishes, a private graveside service will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Middle River, and especially to Starrie Kane for her love and care.
