Dorothy Elizabeth Norman, 78, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her home in Superior.
She was born in Superior on January 29, 1938, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy Johnson.
Dorothy was a 1956 graduate from Superior Central High School. She went on to earn her B.A. at University Wisconsin Superior. On August 22, 1959, she and William Norman were united in marriage at Bethel Lutheran Church. Together, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at an AA convention in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
She was the former organist at Bethel Lutheran Church and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church Quilters. She was an avid doll collector and was a part of the Doll Club. Dorothy enjoyed the game of golf and played many rounds at the Poplar Golf Course.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Erwin Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, William 'Bill' Norman; daughters, Michele (Mike) Gerber, Foxboro, and Gretchen Prendergast, Superior; sons, Michael (Jayne) Norman, Fridley, MN, and Donald Norman, Superior; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
