Dorothy M. Simensen's Obituary
Dorothy May Simensen 91, of Superior died Monday September 22, 2014 in Villa Marina health & rehab.
Dorothy was born in Hawthorne on February 13, 1923 to Carl and Ina (VanKirk) Abrahamzon.
Dorothy served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Prior to her marriage she was employed as a secretary at Central Co-op.
She is survived by a son Joseph Maki of Superior, and a step-daughter Patricia Carlson of Minneapolis, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Niilo Maki and her second husband Arthur Simensen.
Visitation will be from Noon until the 1:30 Funeral on Saturday, September 27th in the Downs Funeral Home with Rev. Sarah Kerkes officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
