Dorothy M. Webster, 94, lifelong resident of Superior, died Friday, February 11, 2022, at Villa Marina Health and Rehab.

Dorothy was born in Superior on May 20, 1927, the daughter of Cuthbert and Mary Claxton. She graduated from Superior Central High School with the class of 1946.

She married Lester Webster on Dec. 1, 1950, and they celebrated 66 years of marriage until his passing in 2016.

Dorothy had worked as a nurse's assistant for over 20 years at St. Joseph's Hospital and then St. Francis Nursing Home. She then became a foster grandparent and assisted many young students at Great Lakes Elementary School for several years.

She was a member of Country Peace Presbyterian Church, Moose Lodge, and Eagle's Club. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, crosswords, bowling, and playing pool. She also enjoyed baking, canning and preserving food. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and also had a love for animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; children, James and Pamela Webster; son-in-law, Mike Erickson; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Kathy Erickson of Superior; granddaughters, Lori (Gerry) Stavang of Cloquet and Becki (Ryan) Rivord of Superior; great-grandchildren, Eric and Garrett Stavang, Matthew (Karlie) Little, Payge (Tyler) Rivord and Ross and Jack Rivord; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18 ^th from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service at Country Peace Presbyterian Church, 4694 County Road A, Superior. Pastors Leslie Anderson and Duane Aslyn will co-officiate.

Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
