Douglas Daniel 'Dannie' Johnson, 80, of Superior, formerly of Dairyland, died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Dannie was born in Dairyland, WI on April 18, 1935, the son of Lawrence and Alice (Anderson) Johnson.

Dannie farmed and later worked at the Town of Dairyland landfill. He enjoyed gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and step-mother, Julia Johnson.

Survived by his twin brother, Donald (JoAnna) Johnson of Avon, IN; nephews, Timothy (Martha) Johnson of New London, MN, and Steven Johnson of Avon, IN; grand-nephew, Daniel (Amy) Johnson of Alexandria, MN; and grand-nieces, Kristin and Kaylyn Johnson, both of McAllen, TX.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 9 until the 11 am service at Dewey-Borea Gospel Tabernacle. Pastor Kyle Ashcroft will be officiating.

Burial will be at Covenant Cemetery in Dairyland.

Pallbearers will be Timothy, Steven, and Daniel Johnson; and Richard, Kelsey, and Travis Gustafson.
