Douglas J. Steuber, 80, of Superior, Wis. and Naples, Fla. died Mon., Nov. 29, 2010 in Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth, Minn.
He was born to Nora (Lindstrom) and Eugene D. Steuber on Sept. 24, 1930 in Superior.
He served his country in the U. S. Army.
Douglas and Mary C. McKenzie were united in marriage on June 10, 1978.
He received his doctorate from the University of Northern Colorado. He was employed by the Superior School District as the Director of Special Education retiring in 1990.
His memberships included Cathedral Of Christ The King, the Superior Elk's Lodge No. 403 and the Superior Rotary.
He is survived by his wife, Mary and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister, Catherine Ellis who died in 1986.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday in Cathedral of Christ the King and continue until the 10:00 a.m. memorial mass with Fr. Andrew P. Ricci as Celebrant. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
