E. Berdyne Anderson, 91, of Superior lived at the Lighthouse for one and a half years before the Light of the world called her Home on Thursday, March 15, 2012 .
She was born August 20, 1920 in South Range, daughter of Harry and Alice Pitts.
Berdyne attended the Washington School in South Range and was a 1939 graduate of Superior East High School.
On April 2, 1946 in Superior, Berdyne married the love of her life, Clifford H. Anderson .
Her work history started with West and Peterson Feed Store, and for over 23 years she worked as bookkeeper and office manager for Northwest Outlet.
Berdyne was a 66 year member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and it's Deborah Circle, Superior Senior Center and it's Crafty Ladies, and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Clifford in 1985; and sister, Beatrice VanHorenweder.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (John) Schulties, Punta Gorda, FL; son, Gary (Jane) Anderson, Superior; granddaughter, Tracy Schulties, Minneapolis, MN; grandson, Peter Schulties, Minneapolis, MN; and a niece, nephew, grandniece and grandnephew.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Reverend Will Mowchan, pastor of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jon Amundson, Ernie Haskins, Tim Haskins, John Schulties, Peter Schulties, and Rick Sundet.
Following the committal service at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, everyone is invited to Pilgrim Lutheran Church for a luncheon.
Should friends desire, memorials in Berdyne's name may be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
The family is full of gratitude for the superb care Berdyne received at the Lighthouse. Their hospitality, integrity, passion and fun made her home environment a delightful and rewarding experience.
